Kira is currently employed at Jazz Aviation and is working toward obtaining her M2 license as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Category M (AME-M).

Originally from Saskatchewan, she moved to Ontario to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from Carleton University, specializing in aerodynamics, propulsion and vehicle performance. Seeking more of a hands-on experience led her to relocate once again—this time to British Columbia (BC)—where she completed the AME-M program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology.

Kira is proud to be in the position of Social Media Ambassador for the Women in Aviation International Sea to Sky Chapter, which is dedicated to promoting diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity in aviation—supporting women and individuals of all backgrounds as they pursue careers in the industry.

She also volunteers as the BC Wing Ambassador for Elevate Aviation, another nonprofit organization committed to creating a more inclusive and representative aviation workforce. Through both organizations, Kira is passionate about building community, mentoring newcomers, and helping shape a future where everyone feels they belong in aviation.

In addition to her volunteer work, Kira runs a social media platform on TikTok and Instagram under the handle @miss_aeromechanic, where she shares her journey as an AME-M. Her content offers a behind-the-scenes look into aircraft maintenance and aims to inform, inspire, and connect with others in the field.

Outside of aviation, Kira enjoys playing Animal Crossing, watching all-star cheerleading, and following Formula 1 racing.
